We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, a keyboard, or have low vision. We are not legally required to comply with EU Directive 2016/2102 (which applies to public bodies and large companies), but we treat accessibility as the right thing to do.
What we took care of
- Semantic HTML structure: headings in order, text that makes sense without styling.
- Descriptive alternative text on all informative images.
- Colour contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 level AA.
- Full keyboard navigation, with an always-visible focus indicator.
- A “Skip to content” link to bypass the menu.
- Menu and FAQ built with native browser elements, no JavaScript required.
- The operating system’s “reduce motion” preference is respected.
- Resizable text and a layout that adapts to screens and zoom.
Known limits
- The embedded Google map is not fully accessible: address, phone and a directions button are always shown next to it.
- Some photos are decorative and have no description, because they add no information.
